At this point in the “nine square” project, the student has begun to develop a clear spatial strategy that operates within the rule-set outlined in the previous exercise.
Until now, the student has been defining space by using lines and planes. Given that the cubic construct has more depth than the “thick square”, the student should begin to explore mass.
